Some of my favorites are gritty thrillers and romantic comedies, but I always come back to the good old stand-by - a historical romance novel. I hope you'll try one of mine!

The Governess

I'm very excited to anounce the 2011 release of my next two books. The heroines are sisters, the granddaughters of the Duke of Windermere. Unfortunately, their monther was disowned by the cranky old duke years before, so they've never met him. Now that the duke is on his deathbed, he wants to make amends, and sends out Captain Gavin Briggs, a trusted former army officer, to find them.

The first of these two books is Seducing The Governess, with a release date of February 22, 2011. It's the story of the first of the two sisters, Mercy Franklin, who loses her parents, only to find that they were not really her parents at all. Their deaths leave Mercy without a home, so she travels to Ashby Hall, where she becomes governess to the new earl's orphaned niece. The estate is a wreck, and the earl of Ashby must marry money to afford the necessary improvements. Ashby and Mercy both know she is not in any way a good marital candidate, but that doesn't stop the two from forming a heated attachment.

Brazen will be released at the end of November, 2011, and features Captain Briggs as the hero. I'll post more about this one and an excerpt when we're closer to the date!
